Vivant, where are you?

"Flu"? Really? Better "flew," or even (chimney) "flue." Methinks this "flu" has aught to do with a certain recent Saturday eve fuelled by many bottles of carefully chosen and not-so carefully consumed vino roja.

Missed you tonight, V. Does opening night of the fall ball hockey season "have drink"? Yes, yes, and yes.

  1. My Dear Abbot...

Yes - Flu (no "quotes") - sadly. Maybe not sadly given that that would be one hell of a hangover - and some cause for concern - if it were attributed to Saturday's festivities (this being now Wednesday 6am) - which culminated in the "floor coming up slowly" on my night. So it's good that I have the flu - yes? It means that I don't "have a problem" - Yes?

Your picture has drink. The emptiness of the rink represents my absence and mirrors how it felt to be quarantined in my basement rather than playing Canadiansport with you and the other brave White warriors.

It's sunny-evening-pagan-void-edness makes me want to fill it with my running and yelling and passing and breathing and cursing and scoring and hugging and laughing and screaming and smiling and sweating and (later)...drinking and hugging and drinking and laughing and drinking and walking home under the stars in the very late, late, quiet, quiet.

  2. Or...

    "I am in here." (pp. 3 & 13, IJ)

...not sure which of the two answers is less esoteric.
